Thank you for acknowledging that. I always say a prayer on Mother's Day for all the birth mothers of my kids. Especially for Dan's mother who died. Meeting her before she died and promising to care for her son was one of the most profound experiences of my life.Galen Pearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10189831838630645863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-39894776817568616902010-05-28T06:55:34.344-07:002010-05-28T06:55:34.344-07:00I'm from a Plan B family, too. I was blessed by my adoptive parents but always so grateful to the mother who chose to give me life and then make the difficult selfless choice to give me up. What a wonderful gift to share your heart with your kids!Elizabethhttp://frommountaintops.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-32999025969387599562010-05-27T13:54:15.850-07:002010-05-27T13:54:15.850-07:00Thank you for your comment, Pam, and blessings on ...Thank you for your comment, Pam, and blessings on your Plan B family!Galen Pearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10189831838630645863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-25059516662773529772010-05-27T10:29:45.001-07:002010-05-27T10:29:45.001-07:00What a beautiful post. It feels so strange when people compliment me for adopting, as if I'm the one who sacrificed anything! I'm the one who is eternally grateful for my son, his birth and foster families, his country of origin, all of that. Anyhow, thank you.Pamhttp://groundingtree.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-77745461064825395712010-05-25T17:54:31.346-07:002010-05-25T17:54:31.346-07:00Thank you for your lovely comment.Thank you for your lovely comment.Galen Pearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10189831838630645863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-54968126758512090792010-05-25T17:29:55.858-07:002010-05-25T17:29:55.858-07:00I love this! James is the reason why I am so connected to you and your family. I love each of you as my own, and you are truly a wonderful mother! I love how you captured each child's gift to you. From the view of a daughter(and an adopted one at that), you are a blessing of mother. I think Plan B parents are God's gift to all the children out there without true families.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
