Andy Pratt sings a song and the lyrics say, "love yourself and make your bed. That's when miracles occur." And it's true. Sometimes I'll go through a lazy spell and leave the bed tousled. During these times I notice that I feel "off". So yes, I agree. Making the bed makes a difference;)Leah Griffithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10424758000036417506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-75372464013737558992010-12-15T05:47:01.540-08:002010-12-15T05:47:01.540-08:00Another great argument for elastic waist bands!!! ...Another great argument for elastic waist bands!!! :) I've heard a similar type of reminder system triggered by a word or image. Every time you hear a particular word (super!) or see a particular thing (school bus), take x number of belly breaths, or whatever thing you are trying to do on a fairly regular basis. My problem is that I keep forgetting. Time for more belly breaths!Therese Kay Creativehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09366538788045990338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-44273686082529801152010-12-14T20:00:00.552-08:002010-12-14T20:00:00.552-08:00Well, you never know what will catch someone's...Well, you never know what will catch someone's attention. He gets up at the crack of dawn as well to go to work. I'm going to mention this to him! I wonder if that's because we are more likely to breathe deeply when we are exerting ourselves through exercise. So exercising would be another way to build our habit of belly breathing.Galen Pearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10189831838630645863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-64808641113793914082010-12-13T14:07:52.422-08:002010-12-13T14:07:52.422-08:00I have experienced a lot of work-related stress a ...I have experienced a lot of work-related stress a few months ago. It is time to pay attention :) I do see how beneficial it can be though and I really like that approach you shared of starting with it in the morning and ending with it in the day. I think it is also great to integrate it into your daily routine as you suggested. Okay, I am off to try all of this and remember to belly breathe as often as I can today. Thanks for the great information and suggestion.Sibyl - alternaviewhttp://www.alternaview.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3302107831896769514.post-53343346669672222362010-12-12T23:14:14.986-08:002010-12-12T23:14:14.986-08:00Hi Galen,

It has given me deeper insights into belly breathing. Do you have the links for the scientific studies btw?

Taking 10 belly breaths before you wake and sleep and at regular intervals during the day is an easy practice to follow. The more natural and relaxed our attitude towards belly breathing, the easier it is for us to make it a part of our routine.

Thank you for sharing this article with us! :)

Irving aka the VizierIrving aka the Vizierhttp://hanofharmony.comnoreply@blogger.com
