434. My grandson was born a few days ago.

439. He took it in stride when she temporarily threw him out of the delivery room.
440. She was glad when he came back.
441. I got to see the birth.
442. Everyone is healthy.
443. My daughter is a better new mom at 19 than I was at 35.
444. Her boyfriend is the best new dad I have ever seen.
445. They have magically transformed in the past months from irresponsible teenagers to mature, compassionate, informed, and loving parents.

  10. Congratulations! Those grand babies are wonderful. What I like about it is that you can have fun with them and then give them back to mom and dad.

There are times when my girls hit me with baby sitting and I have other things to do,but then I remember how fast they do grow up so I take them time to be with them.

I have a new one coming in November. That will make 2 boys and 5 girls. Glad to have another boy.

Blessing to you and enjoy. By the way what is the name?

  14. Oh sooo sooo good! All of it. One day maybe I'll be writing that post but until then I'll enjoy every day I have. I simply must "emulate" your gratitude list...if that is okay. I know emulate really means copy so I will give you a should out in every grateful post....and I will wait to hear if that is okay with you. I don't steal without permission. :) Thx, Sandra

  16. Sandra--The gratitude list is not an original idea, so go for the gusto! The specific idea of 1000 Gifts is something I've seen on several blogs. I think it started with Ann Voskamp. So while I'm always happy to be mentioned on anyone's blog, the credit for the gratitude idea does not belong to me. Thanks for commenting.

  17. What a great gratitude list... so real... so happy... so so positive and well... grateful!

Congratulations Galen on each and every point. Your part in this happy outcome cannot be underestimated. You successfully raised your child with love so she in turn could raise her own child. All is as it should be. You've done well. You've ALL done very very well. Hugs all round on a job well done x

  25. Congratulations! Yes, being a G-Parent and a Gt.-G-Parent is so very special and I am thankful that I have had the privilege of growing old enough to experience each generation Fresh from the Father! Growing old is a privilege not afforded to many. I'm Loving your Blog... such Positive Energy! I discovered it via another Blog I enjoy and one of your comments had a most lovely message about if what we're about to say is an improvement over silence... I LOVE THAT! Such wisdom in so few words!!!
