Another month comes to an end. We have focused on Step 4, feeling our feelings, this month, a hard topic for many of us. We've learned to identify and honor our feelings, choose which ones to feed, transform them, own them, and cradle them.
So just for fun, let’s end with a song. Here are the lyrics to “What a Feeling” from the movie Flashdance. No deep meaning here. Just enjoy.
First when there's nothing
but a slow glowing dream
that your fear seems to hide
deep inside your mind.
All alone I have cried
silent tears full of pride
in a world made of steel,
made of stone.
Well, I hear the music,
close my eyes, feel the rhythm,
wrap around, take a hold
of my heart.
What a feeling.
Bein's believin'.
I can have it all, now I'm dancing for my life.
Take your passion
and make it happen.
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life.
Now I hear the music,
close my eyes, I am rhythm.
In a flash it takes hold
of my heart.
What a feeling.
Bein's believin'.
I can have it all, now I'm dancing for my life.
Take your passion
and make it happen.
Pictures come alive, now I'm dancing through my life.
What a feeling.
What a feeling I AM MUSIC NOW
Bein's believin'. I AM RHYTHM NOW
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life.
What a feeling. YOU CAN REALLY HAVE IT ALL
What a feeling. PICTURES COME ALIVE WHEN I CALL
I can have it all I CAN REALLY HAVE IT ALL
Have it all PICTURES COME ALIVE WHEN I CALL
CALL CALL CALL CALL WHAT A FEELING
I can have it all BEIN'S BELIEVIN
Bein's believin' TAKE YOUR PASSIONMAKE IT HAPPEN
make it happen WHAT A FEELING
what a feeling BEIN'S BELIEVIN'

I always turn this song up when I hear it on the radio. They don't play it as much as they used to. Which is quite sad actually.
ReplyDeleteGreat song Galen. It is amazing what music can do. It does make the world come alive. Thanks Galen, appreciate the pick me up.

ReplyDeleteYou know Galen... I don't always comment on your blog. But I certainly appreciate your posts more than you know. I honoured my feelings this past month when I let my former blogger self go off to where all dried up and dead blogs go. It felt good, it allowed me to move on and start up fresh where people rarely new me and I could express myself thru another way... You are very gifted in your witing... and I just wanted you to know.
